Google Suite has changed its name to Google Workspace.

What is Google Workspace?

Everything you need to get anything done, now in one place: introducing Google Workspace. Whether you’re at home, at work, or in the classroom, it’s the best way to create, communicate, and collaborate. Google Workspace seamlessly brings together messaging, meetings, docs, and tasks—all built with trusted Google security and running on the cleanest global cloud. Familiar tools; fewer distractions; more time to make it happen.

What has changed between Google Suite and Google Workspace?

A more integrated user experience

Features such as chat and meetings are now more integrated into the single experience. As well as being able to collaborate on documents within a chat room.

Further to that, when co-editing slides, docs or sheets, you can quickly create a meeting within the document to more effectively collaborate!

A new brand

Although a new brand doesn't affect the actual experience using the products, they do look slightly different in terms of thier identity.

Gmail, Google Drive, Google Meet and Google Calendar all have slightly different icons you will see.

New plans

Google has introduced new plans that will help smaller businesses get started with Google Workspace and larger businesses improve their productivity.

There are now two new editions to choose from: Business and Enterprise.
