Case Study: The Nude Window
About The Nude Window
The Nude Window is a Sunshine Coast-based family business specialising in bespoke curtains and blinds for homes, builders, wholesalers and interior designers. Since starting in 2019, they’ve built a local reputation for high-quality craftsmanship and beautifully tailored solutions.
“Courtney’s strategy blew my mind. She showed us how the market really sees us and gave us a clear plan to focus our marketing where it matters most. Straight away, we were able to avoid wasting time and money on things we weren’t ready for and focus on building a stronger foundation for growth.”
David Fowler, Co-founder, The Nude Window
Finding clarity in chaos
Owners Alex and Dave were juggling it all: managing a team of 12, handling sales, operations, marketing, and overseeing daily consultations and installations.
In 2024, they were ready to take things to the next level but needed structure to make it happen – without investing in a full-time marketing manager.
They’d brought in freelancers for social media and Google Ads, but the efforts weren’t connected. Tracking where leads and customers came from was hit and miss, and with the business growing so fast they had to move warehouses, they were stuck on a marketing ‘hamster wheel’, unsure if their time and money were being spent in the right places to reach their goals.
After disappointing experiences with agencies that felt generic and out of touch, they wanted something different. Dave needed an expert who could truly understand their business and offer a fresh, strategic perspective.
That’s where I came in.
A strategy for sustainable growth
The first step? Getting Alex and Dave out of the marketing ‘hamster wheel’.
I ran a workshop to map out their goals for the future, challenges, and where they could get the most bang for their buck. Together, we uncovered where the real opportunities were hiding.
Next, I developed a marketing strategy and 90-day action plan to give their efforts focus.
Highlights included:
- Detailed customer avatars so they could target the most profitable audiences likely to convert
- A plan to prioritise local market growth before expanding into new opportunities
- Advice on how to track leads and customers so they could see what channels were driving sales.
Alex and Dave walked away with a clear roadmap to reach their goals. They knew exactly where to focus their time and budget, and had a practical list of next steps to drive growth. With a follow up session planned, they had the guidance they needed to stay on track and keep momentum going.
What we achieved
Alex and Dave now have clarity and structure, replacing reactive marketing with a practical, results-driven plan. Today, they:
- Make faster, more confident decisions – like putting a platform launch on hold to focus on local growth
- Have a website rewrite underway, crafted to convert the right customers
- Make data-driven decisions, so every dollar spent works harder
- Have clear priorities that keep them on track to hit their goals.
“Courtney is meticulous, detail oriented and gave us insights we hadn’t even considered. Her recommendations weren’t just theoretical, they were actionable and completely tailored to our business.”
